GScan is a business card scanning app that helps you extract contact information from business cards and save it to your device’s Contacts app.
Data We Access
GScan requests access to the following device features solely for app functionality:
Camera
- Purpose: To scan business cards and capture images for text extraction
- Usage: Images are processed locally on your device
- Storage: Images are not stored permanently unless you choose to save them
Photo Library
- Purpose: To allow you to select existing business card photos for scanning
- Usage: Only images you select are processed
- Storage: No additional copies are created
- Purpose: To save extracted contact information when you choose to export
- Usage: Only saves contact when you explicitly tap “Save to iOS”
- Storage: Contacts are saved to your device’s local Contacts app
Location Services
- Purpose: To provide your current address when editing contact details
- Usage: Location is only accessed when you tap the location button
- Storage: Location data is not stored permanently
Data Processing
- Local Processing: All text extraction and image processing happens locally on your device
- No Cloud Storage: GScan does not store any data on remote servers
- No Third-Party Sharing: Your data is never shared with third parties
- No Analytics: GScan does not collect usage analytics or tracking data
Data Retention
- Temporary Processing: Images and text are processed temporarily during app use
- User Control: You control what contact information is saved to your device
- No Permanent Storage: GScan does not permanently store your personal data
User Rights
- Full Control: You decide what data to save and where
- Easy Deletion: Delete any saved contacts through your device’s Contacts app
- Permission Control: Revoke app permissions at any time in iOS Settings
Children’s Privacy
GScan does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
